27th Annual 5K run

Event Description

Due to circumstances beyond our control, runner packages will not be available until race day.  We apologize for the inconvenience.

Come challenge yourself during our 27th Annual 5K Run at 9:30am on March 10, 2012.  This event held every year during the Fort Myers Beach Annual Shrimp Festival will take you over Matanzas Bridge twice as well as through the Times Square Area.  There will be plenty of well wishers to cheer you on as well as refreshments, a complimentary t-shirt and prizes.

To register in advance stop by the Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce at 17200 San Carlos Blvd, Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931 through March 9, 2012.  Or download an application.  The entry fee is $25 for an adult and $15 for under eighteen.  Checks should be made payable to the Greater Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce and mailed along with the application to the above address.

Race packets can be picked up at the Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce on March 8 or March 9.  On race day the packets will only be available at the race site.

Event Location Key Estero Shopping Center located at 1661 Estero Blvd.  Please be aware that the Matanzas Bridge will close at 9:00am.  Participants should be over the bridge by 8:30.  If you wish you can park at either Summerlin Square Shopping Center or the public parking lot on the north side of Matanzas Bridge and take the Trollery to Key Estero Shopping Center.
Date/Time Information Saturday March 10, 2012.  Run begins at 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM.  Must be off the Blvd. for the Lions Shrimp Festival Parade by 9:30.  Register for run from 7:00 AM-9:15 AM.

Early registration $25.00 for adults and $15.00 for under eighteen.  Registration on the day of the event is $35.00.
